Shannon Thorpe

Shannon Suzanne Thorpe, 45, passed away Friday, August 16, 2019. Shannon was born March 26, 1974, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated North Stafford High School in 1993. She later joined the U.S Army where she spent 9 years, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. She was stationed in Texas, Germany and Japan, as well as serving as part of an Air Defense Artillery unit during the Iraq War. She grew up playing soccer and was great at it. There was no bigger Washington Redskins fan. And if you ever heard her laugh, you knew it was Shan – raucous and awesome. She loved her daughter like no other and has left us all too soon. We miss you so much Shannon Banana. She is survived by her parents, Reed and Sandra Thorpe; her Gram Joyce; daughter, Devon; brother, Keith Thorpe; sister and spouse, Valarie Thorpe and Vicki Wedell and three nephews.
