Melody Ann Wallace

Melody Ann Wallace, 65, passed away Thursday, August 22 in Bloomington, Indiana. Melody was born June 9, 1954 in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of Paul and Eunice Weidman. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1973. Survivors include her son, John Mervyn (Maria) Weidman II; grandchildren, Madelyn, Mahayla, Everett, and Cadence; Brothers, Victor Paul Weidman, John Mervyn (Stacey) Weidman, Jeffrey Leon (Bonnie) Weidman; Sisters, Michal Ellen (Ron) Hoskins, Susan Elaine (Ken) Stone; and many nieces and nephews. Melody was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wallace; her parents, Paul and Eunice Weidman; and her sister, Karen Jane Myrick. She was a member of Bethel Wesleyan Church after attending Central Wesleyan Church and sought her strength through Christ. Melody was passionate about photography, gardening, cooking, and her family. She worked at Walgreens in the photo lab and prided herself on the relationship she built with her customers. Her family and friends could always rely on her thoughtfulness and generosity. A Funeral Service for Melody will be held Tuesday, August 27 at 1 p.m. at Hathaway-Myers Chapel with Pastor Gordon Tilley officiating. A Visitation will be three hours prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the Funeral Service at Garland Brook Cemetery.
