Lorenzo J. Tadios, 78, of Williamsburg, VA, passed away on September 4, 2019, September 5 in Philippine time.
Lorenzo worked as a government employee from being a Secondary School teacher until he received his Ed.D. and worked as the first President of Apayao State College under the Commission of Higher Education until his retirement.
In his youth, Lorenzo enjoyed softball, and pitching for his teams. Later, he became a chess enthusiast. He was a member of the Church of Nazarene, and served as a Lay Minister. These are his two favorite Bible verses.
“For Me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” Philippians 1:21
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” 2 Timothy 4:7
Lorenzo is survived by his wife, Florencia F. Tadios; his sons, Wayne F. Tadios and Irwin F. Tadios (Amyla A. Tadios); daughter, Jocelyne Jayne T. Dela Pena (Grochelle Adolf C. Dela Pena). He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Wimple Vanessa T. Wood, Wonina Sue T. Zeller, Wanda Thea F. Tadios, Armyn Jean A. Tadios, Andre Lorenz A. Tadios, Alyssa Rhaine A. Tadios, Wyan Gabriel G. Tadios and Wyra G. Tadios; and his great-grandchildren, Wayzan Kairulle Tadios, Prinz Kairule Tadios, Jay Flockhart Wood, Shayleigh Louise Ashanti Wood, Blair Lorenzo Zeller; and special family members, Wilma Fusilero Simpson, Amy Gonzales, Maria Bryce Fabro and Manuel Lazarte.
A local memorial service will be held on September 14 at 9 AM at the Dela Pena residence and a second memorial service will be held on February 8, 2020 in San Fernando City, La Union, Philippines.
