Goldie P. Luckett, 79, of Evansville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019, at the Linda E. White Hospice Center. She was born November 25, 1939, to the late Austin and Dollie Susie (Neal) Crowe.
Goldie worked in the gas department at Vectren for 40 years retiring in 2000. She was a member of Harwood Baptist Church and enjoyed serving others.
Goldie was preceded in death by her stepfather Tony Mayville, brothers Charlie, Jay, and Bob Crowe, and sisters Virgie Gibbs, Bertha Ward, Sue Mayville, her twin sister, Hazel Suits and lifetime friend Rejonia Draper. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Kem Luckett; son, Russell (Dawn) Luckett; grandchildren, Micah and Gracie Luckett, brothers, Austin (Dorothy), Karl (Gwenn), and Walter (Linda) Crowe; brother-in-law, Buddy Mayville; and sisters-in-law, Dean Crowe and Mildred Crowe; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., September 9, 2019, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Karl Crowe, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
