Obituary of Sally Anne Lovelace
Sally A. Lovelace, 73, of Kokomo, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019 at 11:51 AM, at St. Vincent in Indianapolis. She was born to the late OT Conner and Ernestine (Peake) Conner on October 17, 1945 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Sally married Lawrence Lovelace in 1977 in Illinois, and he survives. Sally retired from Chrysler after 33 years of employment. She was a member of the UAW #685. Sally enjoyed volunteering for her community. She volunteered at the food pantry with the local Jewish Synagogue as well as helping the homeless and children in her community. Sally loved spending her free time playing BINGO. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Lawrence; daughter, Jovan A. Lovelace; two sons, Lawrence L. (Jahdai) Lovelace and Dimanione Lovelace; seven grandchildren, Taz'jeana U. Lovelace, Lawrence L. Lovelace Jr., Bryce J. Lovelace, Karsen A. Lovelace, Ta'Nijah S. Jackson, Izzabelle Small, and Dimanione O. Lovelace Jr.; three brothers-in-law, James (Mona) Lovelace, Ellis (Glenda) Lovelace, and George Lovelace; three sisters-in-law, Winnie Simpson, Elizabeth Brown, and Gloria Harrington; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Julia Conner. The funeral service for Sally will be held on Monday, Sept. 16, at 11:00 AM, Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, with Pastor Jeff Sexton Officiating. Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation on Sunday, Sept. 15, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, also at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Sally to St. Jude's Children Hospital, envelopes will be provided.
