Alan Ralph Hammond

Alan Hammond, 70, of Greencastle passed away on September 12th 2019 at 10pm surrounded by his family. Alan was born in Greencastle on December 9th 1948, the son of Albert and Marie (Corbit) Hammond. Mr. Hammond worked for many years with Hanson Stone Quarry. Alan leaves behind his wife Carolyn Hammond; a daughter, Jill Gaston (husband-John); 6 grandchildren; a sister, Judith Stringer, (husband-Ray); a brother-in-law, Roger Mays; two step sons and their children; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three children from a previous marriage, Ross Hammond, Jason Hammond, and Amy Trueblood; and a sister Nancy Mays. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Mann officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
