Janice L Couts

Janice L. Couts, 80, of Evansville, IN passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at West River Health Campus. She was born in Princeton, IN on November 17, 1938 to the late Cecil and Estella Couts. She was an Administrative Secretary at USI for 16 years where she retired around 2004. She was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church. Janice lived in California for nearly 10 years before moving back to Evansville. She was a graduate of Indiana State where she had a teacher’s certificate and taught in California during her time there. She lived a very enjoyable life where she traveled extensively around the world and she loved the Texas Tenors and Elvis. She is survived by numerous cousins, many friends and sorority sisters, close friend and former classmate Tom Schmidt. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Alexander West Chapel. Friends may visit 2-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2019 at Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City. Memorial contributions may be made to Simpson United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund.
