Obituary of Betty L. (Evans) Love
Betty Lou “Evans” Love passed away peacefully on November 5, 2019 at Aspen Trace in Greenwood, Indiana. She was born on February 19, 1931 in Bloomington, Indiana to Henry Evans and Laura “Snoddy” Evans. Over the years she had worked at Sarkes Tarzan and Otis Elevator as well as being a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Order of the Beauceant. She could be found most Sunday mornings attending Lifeway Baptist Church of Ellettsville. She enjoyed playing golf, visiting the Casino in French Lick with friends, and was known best for her professionally manicured yard and meticulous gardening and landscaping. She married the love of her life Louis Love on August 25, 1950 in Bloomington, Indiana. They were married 60 years before his passing in 2011, where they were blessed to enjoy over 20 years of retirement together traveling and enjoying each other’s company. Betty is survived by maternal son Dan Evans of NYC/Indianapolis and stepson Lou (Benji) Love of Corbin Kentucky and her brother John Evans of Bloomington, IN. Step-granddaughters Lorie (Jeremy) Bright of Martinsville, IN., Elizabeth (Nick) Love of Danville, KY., Tara (Chris) Nichols of Ferron, UT. Step-great grandchildren Joey (Megan) Robinson, Jessica (Austin) Fowler, and Caleb (Ali) Bright all of Martinsville, IN and Ashton, Aidon, and Avery Love all of Danville, KY., and a step-great great grandson AJ Robinson. Preceded in death by her parents Henry and Laura Evans, husband Louis Love, brothers Raymond, Jack, Donald, and David Evans, sisters Jean Morgan and Mary Radar. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary; Greene and Harrell Chapel with Rev. Steve Von Bokern officiating. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation Army; 111 N.
