Carl Ralph Gadson, 90, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Parkview Memorial Hospital. Born October 23, 1929 in White Pigeon, Mich., he was a son of the late Charles and Hattie (Schmidt) Gadson. Carl proudly served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 1950-1954. He married the late, Beverly (Finney) Gadson on October 11, 1950. He was an operations supervisor with AT&T Telephone Company for over 32 years. He was a member of American Legion Post 47, Telephone Pioneers and Taylor Chapel UMC. A wonderful man, Carl always cared for other people and put their needs before his own. He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Stephenson of Fort Wayne; sons, Wayne (Audrey) Gadson of Grant, Mich., Robert (Michelle) Gadson of Garrett, Ind., and Michael Gadson of Fort Wayne; 13 grandchildren, Angela, Amanda, Nathan, Stephanie, Desiree, Ryan, Brandon, Amy, Sarah, Alycia, Jessica, Danielle, and Nikki; 17 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Gouker of Elkhart, Ind., and Margaret (Gordon) Swartzentruber of Lagrange, Ind. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Gary Stephenson; brothers, Paul and Henry Gadson; brother-in-law, Paul Gouker; and sisters-in-law, Ruth and Ruth Gadson. Memorial Service is 1:00pm on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church, 10145 Maysville Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior. Pastor Dereck Fields officiating.
