John William Fisher

John William Fisher, 91, Evansville, IN, passed away on January 2, 2020. Born on June 7, 1928 in Chicago, IL to the late John Oliver Fisher and Mable Ethel Coleman. John was a truck driver for Yellow Fright Trucking and a diesel mechanic for Wayne Supply Contractors, retiring in 1983. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Fisher; parents, John and Mable Fisher; siblings, Dorothy Richards, Dee Richards and Clarence Fisher. John is survived by his 4 children; daughters, Deborah Whitsitt, Zandra Lyons (Ted Lyons), Cheryl A. Bogan (Richard Bogan) and son, Paul Fisher; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Charles Fisher, and, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Gene Backes.
