Obituary of Michael Allen Pfingston
Michael Allen Pfingston, age 61, of Evansville, IN went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2020 after a long history of illness. He was born in Evansville, IN on September 24, 1958 to Donald Pfingston and Carol (Coomes) Pfingston. He attended Harrison High School and was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God. He worked as a truck driver for 30+ years, with the majority of his time driving for Midwestern Pet Food. In the last several months, he also became a published author of the book, “Why Do We Look to Hell When We Belong to Heaven?” Michael enjoyed taking long rides on his motorcycle with the love of his life, Tina. He found great joy in surprising his family by bringing home unusual pets, always tried to make people laugh, often referred to himself in 3rd person as The White Knight, and was never shy about sharing his faith in Jesus Christ with others. He was proceeded in death by his father, Donald Pfingston. Michael is survived by his stepfather and mother, Ron and Carol (Coomes) Hull; his wife of 31 years, Tina (Evans) Pfingston; his son, Brent Parker (Billie Jo); daughter, Brittany Johnson (Doug); and was the proud Papaw of four grandchildren, Sydnie, Anabelle, Caroline, and Graham; his five siblings, Donetta Loos, Connie Borman (Mike), Pam Kneer (Chris), Brian Pfingston (Kellie), and Kristie Osborne; and a very large extended family. A special thank you to Devita and Dr. Vijay Bhasin, Cleveland Clinic, Encompass, and the Linda E. White Hospice House for taking such great care of Michael during his time of need. Funeral Services will be held at noon on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, officiated by Pastor Jeff Edmondson. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit on Friday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday 10:00 until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made payable to the local chapter of the Christian Motorcycle Association, “Evansville Word Warriors,” in care of, Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 5050 North First Avenue, Evansville, Indiana 47710. While Michael was not a member, there was nothing he loved more than spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ on his mortorcycle. Condolences may be offered at www.AlexanderEastChapel.com.
