Obituary of Gerald H. "Jerry" Korff
Gerald H. “Jerry” Korff, 81, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at Deaconess Midtown. He was born July 26, 1938, to the late Edwin and Grace (Kornberger) Korff. Jerry was a 1956 graduate of Reitz High School. He was a life member of Trinity Lutheran Church-Darmstadt. He was an elder and helped with church properties, and was a member of Lutheran Laymen’s League at church. He belonged to the Oldsmobile Club of America and Hurst/Olds Club of America. Jerry served in the US Army. He retired early from Whirlpool Corporation to pursue his true passion of being the finest house painter. He is preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Korff, sister-in-law, Joyce Korff and parents. Jerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Rae Korff; son, Kevin Korff (Teresa) and daughter, Kandi Korff; grandchildren, Brent and Emily Korff and Heather and Ian Benford; sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Charlie English; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Nancy Korff; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Trinity Lutheran Church-Darmstadt, officiated by Pastor Stan Temme, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Alexander North Chapel, and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
