Jeanette H. Lohse

Jeanette Harlan Lohse passed away on January 28, 2020. Born in Whitley County, she was the daughter of the late Russell B. and E. June (Robinette) Harlan. Jeanette taught kindergarten for 50 years, retiring from East Allen County Schools in 1992. Jeanette was a member at Plymouth Congregational Church since 1942 and was active in various women’s groups at both Plymouth and Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church. Jeanette and her husband Norman were married for 62 years before his passing in 2005. She is survived by her loving sister, Betty Boldt of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Jeanette’s greatest joy was her husband and her two children Joan (Dave) Weber and Jeff (Lois) Lohse; her five grandsons Joshua (Sarah), Jonathan (Myra), and Jarrod (Jaime) Weber, Grant (Liza) and Gordon (Andrea) Lohse; as well as seven great grandchildren Norah, Emme, Cambry, Cohen, Nathaniel,Tessa and Olivia. We will miss the comfort of her loving smile and her enduring optimism. Private family services will be held at Plymouth Congregational Church followed by a committal service at Lindenwood Cemetery.
