Christian Riley Bennett

Christian Riley Bennett, 23, of Bloomington died Thursday, February 6, 2020 in I.U. Health, Bloomington Hospital. He was born February 3, 1997 in Bloomington to Erik Bennett and Michelle Cook Bennett. He had worked at Berry Plastics. Survivors include his mother, Michelle (William Bower) Johnson of Bloomington; his father and step mother, Erik and Misti Bennett of Bloomington; his daughter, Graicsyn Riley Bennett of Bloomington; his lifelong best friend and mother of Graicsyn, Ashlee Runyon of Bloomington; his siblings, Sebastian Bennett of Bloomington and twins, Kirstyn and Jesse Johnson of Bloomington; grandparents, William Cook of Linton and Deloris Askren of Poland; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Virginia Cook. Christian had attended and was baptized at Souls Matter Apostolic Church. In school he was active in football and wrestling, he also enjoyed playing guitar, listening to music and having a good time. There will be a memorial gathering on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, 700 W Gourley Pike. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
