Paul B. Muldoon

Paul Bernard Muldoon, 82, of Charlottesville, VA, died peacefully on February 12, 2020. He was surrounded by his children and his beloved wife Marcia, his companion of almost 59 years. Paul was born on February 28, 1937 to Ruth Baier Muldoon and William Muldoon of Auburn, NY. He attended St. Bonaventure University followed by the University of Buffalo, where he received his DDS in 1964. After serving two years as a dentist in the Air Force in Tennessee, Paul and Marcia settled in Springfield, Virginia, where Paul led his successful dental practice over the next 44 years. After retirement, Paul and Marcia moved to Lake Anna, where they enjoyed many years on the lake with family and friends. Paul is survived by his devoted wife Marcia, his four children Michael (Mary), Colleen (Brad), Sean (Kaleen) and Erin (Matt), eleven grandchildren, his brother William Muldoon, sister Marion McMullen, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his children Mary Beth and Patrick, parents Ruth and William, and sister Dorothy. To know Paul was to love him and laugh with him. He radiated pure joy with his big smile, big laugh, and big heart. He always saw the best in others and had the ability to connect with anyone that was blessed to know him. He was a man of faith and treasured every moment he spent with his children and grandchildren. He had the most amazing ability to warm your heart with his generosity and kindness. This world was a better place with him in it, and he will be forever missed. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2020 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at Demaines Funeral Home. The funeral mass for Paul will be held at the Church of the Nativity in Burke, Virginia on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
