Sharon A. Monroe

Sharon A. (Kruer) Monroe, 74, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Historic Silvercrest in New Albany. The daughter of the late Charles and Marjorie Kruer, Sharon was born September 12, 1945 in New Albany, Indiana. She worked at Brown & Williamson Tobacco in Louisville for many years and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Albany. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard P Monroe, Jr., and brother, Tom Kruer. Sharon is survived by her two sons, Mark A. (Linda) and Douglas J. Monroe; brothers, Patrick and James Kruer; grandchildren, Erica, Brad, and Karlie; and 10 great grandchildren. It was her wish to be cremated and entombed next to her husband at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. A Memorial Service will be announced and held at a later date.
