John A. Tichenor, 90 formerly of Greensburg, passed away on May 5, 2020. John was born in Greensburg on August 10, 1929, the son of Alphonse and Cleona (Gardner) Tichenor.
He retired from Batesville Casket and was a farmer most all of his life.
Survivors include his two daughters – Katharine (Joel) Curtis of Hayden, AL and Lynette (William Thomas) Myers of Tucson, AZ; three step sons – Stanley Wiggam, Robert “Bob” Wiggam and Andy Wiggam; five sisters – Zelma (James) Barnes, Bonnie (Ray) Evans, Mary (Marion) Barnes, Charlotte (Calvin) Huffmeyer and Sally (Harley) Weber; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Clara Tichenor, one step son Chris Wiggam, three sisters – Leona Amhrein, Margaret Miller and Georgetta Hert; and one infant brother Lowell Tichenor.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, May 18, 2020 at the South Park Cemetery with Rev. Cliff Bunch officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.gilliland-howe.com.
