IN THE CARE OF

Demaine Funeral Home

Eric Brygger, age 54, passed away on May 9th 2020, at his home in Springfield. He was born March 24th, 1966 in Cheverly, MD to Joseph W. Brygger Sr. and Maria L. Brygger (St. Pierre). Eric was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend; who loved his family dearly. He had a fun, contagious personality that would light up any room. He was always smiling and making everyone laugh. It was never a dull moment with him in the room. Eric always had a strong bond with his brothers; they had each other’s back through anything. The Brygger boys were always inseparable, worked and played music together. Eric had a big love for music, played guitar, and sang most of his life. He had a band with his brothers, known in the local scene as the Brygger band. Through struggles together, Eric was a true warrior his whole life. He was always fighting to maintain an existence in this world. In the end, he still always kept a positive outlook on life and would help out anyone in need. His brothers always looked up to him growing up. He would start each day with a smile and would say, “Rise and Shine!” You’re at peace now my brother, no more pain! Go Jam and sing now in heaven, we love you brother! Eric loved his little sister Maria Elena. She fondly looked up to him; to her he was an enigma/mystery. Her oldest brother whom she thought had so much knowledge about the world and life. He played rock n roll and would always sing instead of talk. She remembers his figurines of Pooh, Piglet, and Eeyore in his room. She remembers his talks about skydiving out of planes, and how his hair was always longer than hers. He would read not one, but multiple books at a time. She can still hear him sing, “Maria Elena, Maria Elena” to the beat of la cucaracha. Some people are just naturally fun to be around, their energy is intoxicating. So full of life when they walk into the room, everyone gravitates to them. This was Eric! His vivacious personality left an ever-lasting mark on not only the hearts of his sister, brothers, and family, but also many hearts and souls that he touched throughout his life. Eric was a wonderful Uncle to his niece and nephews. The kids always had fun and loved being around him. He never missed a birthday or holidays, and in recent years he has spent a lot of quality time with them. He recently was teaching his nephew Jaden, how to play the guitar. The kids were always drawn to him, as he was to them. Eric is survived by Maria St. Pierre (Mother); Sonny Brygger (Brother); Joseph Brygger Jr. (Brother); Jenn Brygger (Sister-in-law); Ricky St. Pierre (Brother); Jill St. Pierre (Sister-in-law); Maria Elena St. Pierre (Sister); Jaden St. Pierre (Nephew); Gigi St. Pierre (Niece); Devvon Yeager (Nephew); and Darren Campbell (Nephew). No memorial service or funeral is planned at this time. A celebration of Life will be set at a later date. The family asks in lieu flowers, honor Eric by helping someone out in need, or helping your local animal shelter. He cared about people and animals; he never wanted anyone to go without.
