Thomas Brian Malone

Thomas “Brian” Malone, 78, of Mechanicsville, VA, formerly of Verona, NJ, passed away on June 14, 2020 after a long illness. He is remembered by his wife of 54 years, Andrea Greene Malone; children, Tracy A. Gaulton and her husband, Chris, and Brian W. Malone; grandchildren, Amy and David Gaulton; his four siblings, Kevin Malone (deceased), Kevin’s partner, Margaret Barber, Elizabeth Malone and her partner, Paul Barber, Margaret Langston and her husband, Nicholas, John Malone and his wife, Deborah; as well as his many cousins, nieces and nephews, and his dear friends. Brian was raised in Montclair, NJ and was the son of the late William and Mary Malone, both born in Ireland. After attending Immaculate Conception School in Montclair, NJ, Mr. Malone served in the United States Marine Corps from 1960 to 1964, primarily in the Philippines as a Special Radio Operator, supporting a security mission in the early 1960s. He is a member of the Marine Corps Intelligence Association. After returning home, Brian worked for NJ Bell Telephone, General Motors Acceptance Corp., and as manager for Toyota Motor Credit Corp. During this time he volunteered his services to the Montclair Police Department as Lieutenant of the Deputy Police. After retiring, Brian moved with his wife to Virginia to be closer to his beloved grandchildren and to take advantage of the great weather for his favorite hobby- golf.
