Mary Hammock

Mrs. Mary Thacker Hammock, age 77 of Martinsville, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 after a decline in health. Mrs. Hammock was born on October 30, 1942 in Henry County, Virginia. She was a daughter of the late George Lynn Thacker and the late Ruth Compton Thacker. She was also predeceased by three sisters, Myrtle H. Martin, Eva Houck, June Hopkins, five brothers, Dewey, Marshall, Everett, Otis and Howard Thacker. She was of the Christian Faith. Mrs. Hammock is survived by two daughters, Beverly Ann Craig (Randy), Lori Renee Hammock, two sons, Lanny David Hammock (Mary Ellen) and Darrell Lee Hammock (Trinity), two sisters, Ann Phillips, Gracie Cobbler, two brothers, Billy and Walter Thacker, two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 9, 2020 in Henry Memorial Park.
