Rashawn L. Canady, 35, slipped away peacefully Monday, September 7, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Zina Coles; father, Walter Spratley; grandfather, John Cathey; and grandmother, Alice Canady.
To know Rashawn was to love him. A self-employed, kind and loving guy, he was always reaching out and helping someone. He was family orientated and always put them first in his life. Rashawn enjoyed buying cars and motorcycles in his free time. He will be truly missed by all.
Rashawn leaves behind to cherish his memories his devoted and loving wife, Tia Canady; two daughters, Gabrianna Hart and Aleesiya Walters; son, Giovanni Hart; four stepdaughters, Naquasier Breland, London Breland, Chyna Breland and Tianya Breland; stepson, King Breland; god-daughter, Asharia Fields; stepfather, Maurice Coles; five sisters, Shemeika Wright, Kiesha Canady, Kenya Brown, Keandra Canady and Keaniyah Canady; three brothers, Mario Gomillion, Jr., Devron Jones and Monte Moore; stepbrother, Kareem Coles; four aunts, Shirley Franks and Shirley Tucker, Janet Carr and Shelin Heard; six uncles, Terrell Canady, Ray Canady, Steven Cathey, Vernon Lee, Ivan Leon and Karl Carr; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Special friends include Tyrone Pettaway, Gloria Walter, John Pratt, Marquise Heard, Ja’Mika Williams and Carlos Heard.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Virginia at 11:00 AM.
