Darryl “Peanut” Freeman, 59, of Fort Wayne passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020. He was born on March 3, 1961 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a son of the late Billie Joe Freeman and Emma Josephine (Smithy) Ferry. Darryl worked at Mandarin for over 20 years, every customer was like family and he knew them well. He enjoyed watching the Colts games and attending them in person. He also enjoyed bowling. He had a passion for traveling the world with the love of his life. Peanut is survived by his brother, Bobby (Diane) Freeman; nieces, Amy (April), Tahisha, Brandy, Danielle, Kandace, Michelle, Samantha, Angela, and Alyssa; and nephews, Paul, Bobby Jr., and Blake. Also preceding him in passing was the love of his life, David Gonzalez; sister, Debbie; brothers, Danny, Samuel, and Mark; and nephew, Chad. There will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions can be made to the Allen County SPCA.
