Catherine Dunn, 85, of Henrico County, died Sunday, September 27, 2020.
She was the widow of Thomas Ashton Dunn.
She is survived by her two daughters, Vera Ann Anderson; son in law, Christopher Anderson, Sr.; and Kathryn Elaine Dunn; two grandchildren, Tabitha Hammock and her husband, Tim, and Christopher Anderson, Jr. and his wife , Kelly; four great-grandchildren, Chase and Jacob Hammock, Olivia and Alister Anderson; also many nieces and nephews.
Catherine was a member of First Baptist Church in Richmond for 55 years and taught Sunday School there for 52 years.
Catherine loved children, flowers, bright colors, and she was a very loving, patient and calm person. She prayed for everyone in her family and her many friends that may be having a crisis in their life.
She retired from Miller & Rhoads where she worked as a sales associate for many years.
The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2020, at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Road. A graveside service will be conducted 3 p.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Pilots Lane in Henrico County.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association of Richmond, 4600 Cox Road #130, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060; or First Baptist Church, 2709 Monument Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23220.
