Lewis Dickens Jr.

CPL Lewis Dickens Jr, affectionately known as Jay or Junie by family and friends was born to Lewis Dickens Sr. and Sylvia Dickens on April 11, 1965 in Panama City, Panama. He departed this life on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at his home in Stafford, Virginia. Lewis departed Panama at the age of 9. He graduated from Pine Forest high school In Fayetteville, NC. After high school he joined the army where he visited places like Germany, Afghanistan, and many states. After his return from the Army he was devoted to be a Correctional Officer in which he dedicated roughly 25+ years doing correction. A job he was proud of very much and enjoyed. Jay enjoyed spending time with his family and adored his dogs Rex and Chance. He loved being the family Dj as he played hip tunes for social gatherings. He also enjoyed watching Redskins football team, in which is now known as Washington football team. He was proud when Washington football team won their first game after the name change. Lewis was a provider and the foundation for his family and made sure they had whatever was needed. As a father he was his kids support system, protector, outlet, friend, doctor, therapist, life coach, priest, counselor, mediator, voice of reason, teacher, companion, talent developer, trainer and much more. As a fiancé he was uplifting, provider, hard worker, compassionate, devoted, honored, best friend and companion. As a brother, son and uncle Junie he loved his siblings, admired his parents and prayed for his family wellbeing’s. Lewis Dickens Jr. leaves to cherish his memory with his devoted and loving finance, Cynthia M. White his three daughters, Yunique Dickens, Shavonnie Dickens, and Aashina Dickens; three sons, Lewis Dickens III, Damario Dickens and Dalonte Dickens; three sisters, Virginia Cordell, Vivian Flowers, Sandra Cee Carter, and Felicia Crockett; three brothers, Alejandro Carter, Sr., Fernando. Livingston, and Antonio; three grandchildren, Lonnell Atwater Jr, Liberty Atwater, and Milani Machado. Jay was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by all. Memories of his laughter, infectious smile and kindness to others will always live on.
