William D. Armstrong

William D. Armstrong 86 passed away Wednesday November 18, 2020 at Markle Health Care in Markle IN. He was born July 4, 1934 in Middle Point, Ohio to the late Harry W. and Jennie M. Armstrong. He graduated from North Side High School in 1952. He retired after 40 years as the Senior Buyer at Phelps Dodge in Fort Wayne. William was an avid fisherman, enjoyed woodworking, gardening, playing golf, a was a Tiger’s Baseball and I.U Basketball fan. William is survived by his children, Tim Armstrong of Huntington, IN; Robert A. (Kathy) Armstrong of Fort Wayne, IN: Beth Ann Armstrong of New Haveen, IN; brothers Ronald L. Carol Armstrong and Norman A. (Georgia) Armstrong, both of FL; nine grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeannine Armstrong, June 24, 2020, a sister Martha and daughter in law Barbara Armstrong October 2020, brothers Merritt, Harry A., Nolan A., Ernest L., Robert E. and an infant sister Martha Armstrong. A private funeral will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday November 25, 2020 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Ave Fort Wayne IN.
