Obituary of Dr. Barry J. Williams
Dr. Barry J. Williams, 73, of Evansville passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 in his home. He was born June 24, 1947 in Evansville. Barry was a 1965 graduate of Rex Mundi High School and graduated from National College in Illinois with a doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine and a Master’s in Human Anatomy. He was also a graduate of the University of Health Science with a degree in Physical Therapy. Barry devoted his life to relieving the pain and suffering of others. He was an avid foreign car lover and he had a natural intellect, continually enjoying learning about any subject. Barry dearly loved his family and went out of his way to help others in any way he could. He was preceded in death by his father, Orie L. Williams, and friend, Terry Kellams. Barry is survived by his wife, Dawn M. Williams; sons, Kurt Williams (Anna) of Manassas, VA, Brian Williams (Lisa) of Thornton, CO, and Jasone Parsons; daughter, D’Arcei O’Leary (Kimmie); grandchildren, Jaxe Parsons, Hana Lucero, Emi Williams, Rowan Williams, Kai Williams and Conner Williams; mother, Edna Williams; brother, Dr. Mike Williams (Paulina); sister, Cindy Kelley (Tracey), and nieces and nephews. A special thank you goes to his son, Jasone, for being his 24 hour caregiver for the last year of his life. Visitation will be 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 West Illinois Street. Due to the COVID pandemic, masks and social distancing are required to attend. A private funeral service will follow officiated by Pastor Carl Sanders. Memorial contributions may be made to The Literacy Society.
