Ruth Lay

Ruth Lay, 80, of Fort Wayne, passed away on December 11, 2020 at Parkview Hospital. Born May 11, 1940 in Decatur, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Robert and Alice (Brozzo) Ailerson. Ruth attended Elmhurst High School and was employed with the Dana Corporation in Columbia City, Ind. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, celebrating birthdays and family celebrations, reading, Facebook, playing Gameboy, and eating sweets. She is survived by her children, Tammy Richhart of Fort Wayne, Cindy Andrist of Fort Wayne, Skip Richhart of Antwerp, Ohio, and Michael (Becky) Richhart of New Haven; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie (Russell); and brother, Robert Ailerson of Texas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lay; grandson, Joshua Deemer; and son-in-law, Richard Andrist. No services are scheduled at this time.
