Richard Donald Stainbrook

Richard Donald Stainbrook, 75, of Franklin formerly of Columbus passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mr. Stainbrook was born in Missouri October 2, 1945, the son of Homer and Clarisa Stainbrook. He married Linda Newlin; she preceded him in death September 10, 2016.
He worked for Cummins Engine Company 14 years retiring in 1985 as a supervisor. He was a member of Dove Ministries, was an avid I.U. Fan, loved hunting and fishing and sharing the Lord with people.
He is survived by son, Shawn (Nichole) Stainbrook of Freetown; daughter, Tammy Stainbrook of Texas; sons, Scott (Vicky) Stainbrook of Columbus, Ronnie (Denise) McNew of Pekin, In, Danny McNew of Lexington, KY, Lonnie (Lori) McNew of Pekin, IN; brother, James Stainbrook of Greenwood; sister, Kay (Max) Seifert of Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife; 2 brothers, George and Howard Stainbrook.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Pastor Mike Newlin officiating. Calling from 11:00 a.m. to service time Friday. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Garland Brook Cemetery. In keeping with CDC and Indiana guidelines, social distancing must be followed and masks are required. You may also be asked to wait outside due to the social distanced capacity of the funeral home.
