Phillip Neil Campbell

Phillip Neil Campbell, 81 of Amherst, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Sarah Jean Campbell for 63 years. Born on December 29, 1939 in Amherst County, he was the last surviving child of the late Abe Campbell and the late Kathlene Johnson Campbell. Phillip enjoyed working with his cattle, farming and working in his yard. He would also help his neighbors with anything. He was always there for his neighbors. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Melvin Campbell, Larry Campbell, Peggy Barone, and Dale Campbell; granddaughter, Sarah Louise Campbell; and brother-in-law, Tom Barone. Phillip is survived by his wife, Jean Campbell; two sons, Greg Campbell and wife Stacey and Chris Campbell and wife Kim; four grandchildren, Kyra Brooks and husband Tom, Lyndsey Ellinger and husband Ryan, Kayla Dodd, and Jenna Brogan; nine great grandchildren, Nathan, Avery, Ivy, Adalynn, Madison, Channing, Arizona, Tucker and EllieSue; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Campbell, Vicky Campbell, and Bonnie Campbell. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. Interment will follow at Amherst Cemetery.
