Obituary of Ruby Delores Todisco
Ruby Delores Todisco, 95, passed away Monday, January 04, 2021. She was born March 15, 1925 in Evansville, IN to the late Bert Edmonson and Hazel (Hill) Sapp. She attended Centennial grade school and graduated from Reitz High School in 1943. Ruby was a member of Holy Redeemer Church, The Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. and VFW Post 1114. She was a homemaker, had a wonderful sense of humor and was a great cook. She learned Italian cooking from her in-laws in Boston, MA and passed down the recipes to her children. Ruby enjoyed reading, working puzzles and watching cooking shows. She loved and invested time with her family. Ruby was preceded in death by the love of her life, Vigi in 1993; step-mother, Katherine Edmonson, and sisters, Connie Sapp and Bonnie Somers. She is survived by her children, John Todisco, Kent Todisco (Donna), Mark Todisco (Linda), and Lisa Hunt (Terry); grandchildren, Mike Todisco (Carol), Joycelyn Todisco, Gina Todisco, Michelle Gilles (Joe), Tony Todisco, Ryan McGuire (Melissa), Christopher Todisco (Jessica), Chad Todisco (Victoria), Tyler Hunt (Brittany) and Jenna Hunt; 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and one on the way; sisters, Marilyn Nance and Joan Coomes; brother-in-law, Del Somers, and nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Deaconess Hospice for their care. A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, officiated by Fr. Jason Gries with entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may visit 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2021 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Condolences may be made online at www.AlexanderNorthChapel.com.
