Theresa C. Hazelip, 80, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. She was born June 2, 1938, in Newburgh, IN, to the late Robert and Alta Mae (Powell) Bice.
She worked at Sun Exploration Oil for many years and was also an in-home daycare provider for nearly 30 years. Theresa was a member of Mt. Olive General Baptist Church where she was an active and devout Christian serving in the Sunday School Ministry. She enjoyed woodworking, painting and cake decorating.
Theresa is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bobby: children, Bobby Hazelip (Sharon), Debi Finn (David), Tina Mobley (Donnie), Derek Hazelip (Tina) and Heath Hazelip (Carrie); 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; beloved nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Wiggles and Stella.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Mt. Olive General Baptist Church, 4377 State Road 261, Newburgh, IN, officiated by Pastor Ken Slater with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit 4-8 p.m. on Monday at Alexander Newburgh Chapel 533 State Road 261, Newburgh, IN, and 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to SWIRCA Warrick County Meals on Wheels, 16 W. Virginia St., Evansville, IN 47710. Theresa and Bobby served faithfully by providing meals during the holidays for almost 30 years to Warrick County Residents.
