Wendell Nelson Peacock Jr.

Wendell Nelson Peacock, Jr. 58, of Harrisonburg passed away on July 22, 2020, at his home. He was born on August 23, 1961 in Minneapolis, MN and was the son of the late Wendell N. Peacock, Sr. and Charlotte Byrd Peacock. Wendell graduated from Gilford High School in Greensboro, NC, and was an Uber driver. He attended Potter’s House Worship Center and enjoyed couponing and working out in the gym. He also worked for Simmons Cut and Tan for many years and made a lot of friends. He is survived by a sister, Wilma “Jeanie” White of Staunton; a brother, Floyd Joseph “Joe” Peacock of Harrisonburg; and lived with his dog “POW”, who was his best friend and buddy; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Michael Shifflett. A memorial service will be held 2 pm, Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Potters House Worship Center, with Pastor Dan Garber officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valley Veterinary Hospital, 498 University Blvd., Suite A, Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
