Obituary of Scott Lewis Feichter
Scott Lewis Feichter, 70, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. Born in Fort Wayne, IN on November 19, 1950, he was a son of the late Cornelius S. and Marilyn J. (Wilson) Feichter. Scott attained degrees from Indiana and Purdue Universities and later joined Feichter Insurance Inc. Scott was a member of the Summit City Masonic Lodge #170 – Past Master; Valley of F.W. Scottish Rite; Mizpah Shrine; North Side Optimists; Sigma Nu Fraternity – Beta Zeta Chapter; Fort Wayne Big I – Past President; Boy Scouts of America – Eagle Scout, Past District Chairman of Thunderbird District, District Eagle Committee, Service Team Outdoor Chairman, Asst. Scoutmaster Troop #477, & Explorer Advisor Post #2477; Girl Scouts of America – Past Troop Leader Senior Troop #850, & Delegate to Limberlost Council; President of Indiana Meanderers and President of Who’s Your Winnies RV clubs. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and especially camping. Scott is survived by sons, Jason (Diana) Feichter, Jonathan Feichter, Jared (Tatiane) Feichter and Justin Feichter; daughter, Tara (James) Wilhelm; grandchildren, Ellie and Emerson Wilhelm, Carson, Daniel, Ashley, Brianne, and Blake Feichter, Sophia and Alice Menzie; brothers, Randy, and Dennis Feichter; sisters, Chris (Dave) Schulte, and Cherrie (Dean) Hock. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at D.O McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home (1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne 46825), with visitation beginning 3 hours prior at 10:00 am. Burial to follow immediately in Highland Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home. Memorial donations in Scott’s honor may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
