Obituary of Freddie Baldwin
Freddie Baldwin, 63, of Anderson, IN departed this life Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Indianapolis. He was born October 3, 1957 in Columbus, Indiana. Freddie “Big Daddy” Baldwin was a kind and gentle soul who loved his family, friends and his music. He enjoyed following IU basketball and football, and rarely missed an Indianapolis Colts game. He was happiest though, in front of an audience playing his music. Freddie was an accomplished musician who played and sang the blues and classic rock at countless venues over the years throughout central Indiana. His natural ability to play virtually any instrument was truly amazing. Freddie also loved putting his thoughts and experiences into writing his own music. He was preceded in death by his father, Freddie A. Baldwin. Freddie is survived by his loving daughters, Wendy Mathis, Amy Baldwin and Renee Watring; Granddaughters, Ginny and Madeline Mathis and Kayleigh Bowman; his beloved parents, Russell and Janice Bauman; his dear siblings, Lori Smith, Rodney Baldwin, Alex (Jeanne) Baldwin, Russell J. Bauman, Chris Bauman and James (Jess) Bauman as well as a host of dear friends and extended family.
