Harding "Howie" Baez

Harding “Howie” Baez, 80, of Longwood, FL, passed peacefully, with his family by his side, on May 12, 2019. He was born to Juan and Isabel Baez on February 23, 1939 in Lajas, Puerto Rico. Howie was married to Maria Teresa Soto on September 23, 1961. He is preceded in death by his wife (1940 – 2009), his parents and, most recently, his brother Milton (wife, Bruni).
Howie was a Master Sargent in the United States Air Force & Air National Guard of New York.
He was a Supervisor for Stanley Works for 26+ years and a member of Forest Lake Seventh Day Adventist Church, where he served as a Deacon and served as a Master Guide in the Pathfinder Club. He loved the outdoors and was an avid camper.
He is survived by: His children, Randy Baez (wife, Shena), Karen Garcia, Elaine Lupo (husband, Robert); His grandchildren, Jeffrey (wife, Jennifer), Orion, Daniel, Adam, Emily, Stormi; His brothers, Gamaliel (wife, Rebecca), James (wife, Ellie), Michael (wife, Mary Ellen) and many other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held Friday, 5/17/19, 5pm – 8pm at Baldwin Fairchild West Altamonte, 90 Weathersfield Ave. Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.
Funeral Service on Sunday, 5/19/19, 10am at Forest Lake Seventh Day Adventist Church, 515 Harley Lester Ln Apopka, FL 32703, immediately followed by interment at Highland Memory Gardens, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd Apopka, FL 32703.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations, in honor, to AdventHealth Hospice Care
