Helen Louise Greiner

Helen Louise Greiner, age 97, of Piney View, WV, died May 7, 2019 of natural causes. Helen was born in Cunard, WV, March 2, 1922. She celebrated 50 years of marriage to Jacob Lynn Greiner before his demise in 1989. A charter member of the Church of God of Prophecy at Lanark, WV, Helen was actively involved in women’s ministries and supporting missions both local and abroad. Helen loved teaching small children, volunteering at a nursing home, reading and studying her Bible, and supporting her family in their education and growth. She was a true Proverbs 31 woman. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, George and Arlene Spencer; the love of her life, Jacob Lynn Greiner; her brothers John and Alvin Spencer and a grandson, Zachary Lynn Duncan. Helen is Survived by five daughters, Judith Duncan (James) from McDonough, GA; Redith Browning (Roger) of Daniels, WV; Carol Tyler of Monrovia, MD; Linda Dunkley (Bill) of Piney View, WV; Kathy Stewart (Dale) of Beckley, WV; eleven grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Funeral Service will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 12:00pm with Reverend Chalmer Morgan officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 11am-12pm. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Building 3.
