Lloyd Wayne Asbury, II

Lloyd Wayne Asbury II, 43 from Rhodell was taken to soon from us following a sudden illness at home on June 8Th 2019. Born November 7, 1975 to Ann Still and Lloyd Asbury, Sr. Lloyd was a very proud member of The Rhodell Volunteer Fire Department. Lloyd strived to become better in all he done. Not only was he a great Fire Fighter, he was also a great father, friend, brother, mentor and an all around good guy. He will be sorely missed by his fire department brothers and sisters. Other then serving his community, Lloyd enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. Lloyd was preceded in death by a son Matthew Asbury. Those left to cherish his memory are his son Joshua Shirey, his fiance Lisa Stacy, her 3 children C. J., Olivia and Brayden, all of Rhodell. His mother Ann Still (John) of Seffner, Florida, his Dad Lloyd Asbury Sr. Of Odd, WV, and a host of other family members. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm, Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Rhodell Church of God. Funeral Services with Full Fire Fighter Honors will be held at 2:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow at the Graham-Bolen cemetery in Odd, WV. Honoring Lloyd as pallbearers will be members of his Fire Department Station 114. Blue Ridge Funeral Home & Crematorium has the honor of serving the family.
