June Clark, 91, of Holder, Florida passed away peacefully at Vitas Healthcare in Lecanto, Florida on May 29, 2019. She was born in Redding, England on June 1, 1927. June is predeceased by her parents, Norman and Mary Matthews, her sister, Phyllis and a brother, Peter of England. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, James Clark, son David and his wife Sherie Varney of Lutz, Florida, stepdaughters, Belinda and Kimberly of Seminole, Florida, stepson, Brian, of Brookville. Kentucky and stepdaughter, Cindy of Phoenix, Arizona, nephew, Tony and his wife Diana of England, and numerous grandchildren. June enjoyed making Faberge Eggs and spending time with her numerous English Springer Spaniels as she and Jim traveled in their motor home between New England, New York and Florida. They enjoyed spending many summers in Boone, N.C. She was a war bride coming to the U.S. in 1947 marrying Dewey Varney and living in South Strafford, V.T. for many years. She then lived in Lyme, N.H. with her second husband Norman Ashton until his passing. June relocated to Florida in 1980. She and Jim were married in 1982 at the Kapok Tree in Clearwater, Florida. A celebration of life was held on her 92nd birthday June 1, 2019 by close family and friends.
