IN THE CARE OF
Foster's Garden Chapel Funeral Home & Crematorium
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Dzus on Saturday, May 18, 2019 in Calgary, Alberta. He was born in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on June 20, 1937. Peter lived on the family farm in Hope Valley, Alberta until the farm was sold and the family moved to Kitscoty, Alberta. He finished High School in Kitscoty. Peter enjoyed golf, curling, swimming, hockey, hunting and fishing, and both downhill and water skiing. He got great satisfaction out of fixing and constructing things himself. Peter enjoyed a 50 year oilfield career, working for Continental EMSCO; LTV Energy Products; CEF Franklin and Dzus Production Services, finally retiring at the age of 70. Peter is survived by his loving wife Marg; Children Belinda (Vince), Glenn (Suzanne), Lorel, Carol and Corinne (John); Grandchildren Kerrigan, Chinook, Dylan, Emma and Alexia; Great Granddaughter Lavinnia; Nephews Edward (Diane) and Donald (Mary). To honour Peter’s Last Will and Testament we will not be holding a funeral service, celebration of life, or gathering “whatsoever” (Whatsoever is Peter’s word and his way of making sure we understand the gravity behind his wish). Please cherish all of your memories of Peter, especially the funny ones. If friends so desire in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta www.heartandstroke.ca; or Foothills Hospital https://www.albertahealthservices.ca/fmc/Page14092.aspx.
