Bernadette Pauline Cast

CAST, Bernadette - Passed with peace and grace on October 9th, 2018, with her family at her side. Born in Foleyet, ON in 1927, she was not expected to survive the night, but true to her fighting spirit, she overcame and thrived. She eventually made her way to Toronto, ON where she worked as a stenographer, until she retired in 1974. During her retirement, she spent many years as a devoted care giver to siblings, friends and grandchildren. She was a avid gardener and dog lover. She was the Blue Jays' number 1 fan, never missing a game. She enjoyed food and spending time with family. Predeceased by her loving son George (Monique). Beloved "Granny" to Robert Cast (Nicole), Kelly Cast (Michael), Brendon Fenton (Jennifer), Benjamin Fenton (Madison) and Melanie King (Andrew). She also adored her great-grandchildren: Ken, Bryce, Charlie and Harper. Predeceased by parents Joseph and Elizabeth Camirand and siblings Hubert (Cecile), Victoria (Robert), Leah (Joe), Thomas (Vern), Margaret (Paul), Geneva (Armand) and Leonard (Jackie). Survived by her brother Bernerd (Theresa). The family will be holding a private celebration at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local food bank.
