She devoted her life and love to her family and many others. JoAnn was born in Patchogue NY, and moved to the Cape with her family in 1942, where she considered herself to be a life-long resident of her beloved Chatham. She graduated Chatham High School in 1952, married Herb, and they nurtured a family together. Joann started her own business, “Accent on Kitchens” in 1987, designing award winning kitchens in Chatham and nearby towns until she retired in 2011. She loved design, art, and balance; always seeking to create beauty with her unique touch. With her husband, she designed and built three homes and renovated others in Chatham. She was instrumental, along with many family members, in building the family Camp on North Beach, which was lost in the “Perfect Storm” of 1991. She also created a winter ski getaway in Campton, NH for all to enjoy. JoAnn loved to paint, to entertain friends and family, going to the Symphony and the Ballet, walking on the many beaches she loved to visit, traveling to Europe and cherished her many pets. She was a very generous and spiritual individual, following the teachings of “A Course in Miracles".
