Obituary of Bill Brown
William “Bill” Earl Brown, 87, of Georgetown, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019, at his residence. He was born on October 6, 1931 to the late Herman “Hoss” and Geneva Brown. Bill served his country for seven years in the Army National Guard. He began working for his father’s company, H. L. Brown Trucking before retiring after 30 years with Exxon. Bill loved watching college football, NASCAR racing and working on automobiles. He was a member of Georgetown First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Brenda Brown, daughter, Kathy Taylor (Mike), of Ringgold, GA, daughter, Elaine Waldron, of Cleveland, TN, son, William E. Brown, Jr. (Sandra), of Whitwell, TN, son, Mike Brown (Teresa), of Chattanooga, TN, step-daughter, Denise Hearn, of Ooltewah, TN, 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, 6 siblings, Mary Ethel Trybek, of Ocala, FL, Johnny Mack Brown (Dottie), of Chattanooga, TN, Evelyn Buice (Ray), of Anderson, SC, Judy Denham (Gene), of Ooltewah, TN, Linda Cook (Spencer), of Ocala, FL, Steve Brown, of Daytona, FL, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm., Friday, May 17, 2019, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Chaplain Pat Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, Hixson, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 pm., Thursday, May 16, 2019, at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga, especially Margie, Randy, Tonya and Jennifer for their exceptional care.
