Randy E. Richie

Randy E. Richie, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019. Mr. Richie was born and raised in Chattanooga and served as a Sergeant in the National Guard. He was a faithful member of Greenwood Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board. After retiring from FedEx, he enjoyed his favorite hobbies of farming and travel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warner and Thelma Richie and brother, Vernon Richie. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Phyllis Evans Richie; children, Andrew (Ashley) Richie and Mollie (Chris) Standridge; brother, Kenneth Richie; sister-in-law, Janet Hughes and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, August 15th at Greenwood Baptist Church (8529 Snow Hill Rd, Ooltewah, TN 37363). A visitation will be from 12 to 1 preceding a 1 PM Memorial Service on Friday, August 16, 2019 at Greenwood Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Chandler officiating with pastors James Vaughn and Toby Brogden. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Greenwood Mission My Town.
