Obituary of Jose Mario Bañales
Jose Mario Bañales It is with great sadness that the family of Jose Mario Banales, beloved brother, husband, father and grandfather passed away on August 3, 2019 at the age of 66 years. He was born on December 25, 1952 in El Paso. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Margarito & Consuelo Banales, Sr. Mario is survived by his loving wife Alicia and his five children Maribel Ornelas (Robert), Juan Rangel (Marisela), Rogelio Banales, Adrian Rangel and Nicolas Banales. He is also survived by his brothers and sister, Margarito Banales, Jr. (Eva), Joe (Ellie), Xavier (Anna), Manuel (Peggy), Jaime (Audrey), Martha, Marco Antonio (Kim) and Miguel and as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is survived by his grandchildren: Iris, Ashley, Victoria, Diego, Sophia, Hunter, Marie, and Joshua. Mario graduated from Austin High School in 1971 and received his BA from UTEP in 1977. He served in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy. He worked at Roadway Express for 16 years as a Dock Supervisor and at Transportation Services Inc. for 18 years as a Terminal Manager. His passion was his family and all his children. He provided for his family throughout his life and was an inspiration to his extended family as well. We wish to thank Envision Healthcare Services for providing assistance to our Brother and his family. A special thanks to family members Socorro Gonzalez and his nephew Eric Oropeza in attending to our Brother while he was at home and to all his children in taking care of him during these last few months of his life. Mario is finally at peace in God’s Kingdom and reunited with our beloved parents. Pallbearers: Juan Rangel, Rogelio Banales, Adrian Rangel, Nicolas Banales, Eric Oropeza, Joseluis Valenzuela and Robert Ornelas and Miguel A. Banales. Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. with a Remembrance service at 7 p.m. Services will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave., El Paso, TX. On Friday, August 9, 2019 family and friends will gather at Funeraria Del Angel Central at 1 p.m. and proceed by motorcade promptly at 1:30 p.m. for a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
