Katherine K. Levine

Katherine (Kathy) Kilgore Levine passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Estes Park Health Living Center in Estes Park, Colorado. She was 67 years old. Kathy was an only child born in Dallas, Texas in 1951 to James and Katherine (Blalock) Kilgore. Kathy was raised and lived in the Dallas area and graduated from The Hockaday School in 1970. Kathy attended The University of Colorado in Boulder starting in fall 1970. She married her husband, Charles “Chuck” Levine in 1974 in Dallas, Texas. Chuck and Kathy moved to Virginia and began their life as parents. They relocated to Dallas in 1983. The family lived in the Dallas and Austin areas until 2001 when they retired and moved to Estes Park, Colorado. Kathy was a wonderful woman of many talents. She was a wife, a mother, a homemaker, a teacher, a librarian and a radio programmer. Kathy was a member of the United Methodist Church of Estes Park, the Lions Club, PEO and the Quota Club. She also gave her time as a volunteer for the Rocky Mountain National Park. Kathy loved to knit and watch the weather. She had great interest in computers and liked to watch movies. Above all, Kathy loved her family and she loved being a mother to her two sons. She was loved and she will be missed. Kathy is survived by her husband, Chuck Levine of Estes Park, CO and her sons, Matthew of Austin, TX and Christopher of Carmel, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents James A. and Katherine B. Kilgore. A memorial service will be held for Kathy on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church of Estes Park.
