Sally Ashby

Sally Jo Schmidt Ashby, 64, of Greeley, passed away on October 14, 2018 at Windsong at Northridge. She was born on April 30, 1954 to Melvin and Glenda (Kelly) Schmidt in Greeley. She married John Ashby in 1990 in Pine Bluffs, WY and lived there until 2018. Sally graduated from Valley High School in Gilcrest, CO in 1972 and went on to attend CSU in Ft. Collins. She began her career working for Trans America Title Company in 1975 through 1990. She attended Crossroads Community Church in Pine Bluffs and was active in her sorority, Pi Beta Phi while attending CSU. Sally did volunteer work for the Cheyenne Regional Hospital and the Denver Zoo. She is survived by her sister, Maxine (Lynn) Hurt; brother, Monte (Ann) Schmidt; nephews, Dr. David Hurt and Grant Schmidt; and niece, Darby Schmidt Wheeler. She is preceded in death by her brother, Larry Glen Schmidt, her parents and her husband.
