Wayne Weber, 84, of Greeley, passed away Oct. 2, 2019, at Windsor Health Care Center. Wayne was born Sept. 21, 1935, in Pierce to Fred Weber Jr. and Mollie (Ditter) Weber. He married Mary Ann Foose on Jan. 22, 1956, in Greeley at Saint Paul’s Church. Wayne attended grade school in Greeley and graduated from Greeley High School. He farmed in the Lucerne area and moved to Gilcrest where he had lived for the last 30 years, until his retirement.

Wayne was a bull rider in high school and a steer wrestler. He was a real cowboy. He loved spending time with his family. He was a lifetime member of Saint John’s United Church of Christ, and was 30-year member on the board of Western Mutual Ditch Company. Wayne loved visiting and having coffee with his friends at the coffee shop in LaSalle, everyday.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Weber; son, Gary (Nancy) Weber; daughters, Jodene (Dee) Adams, Julie (Jim) Nunn and Joanne (Tom) Randolph; brother, Dick (Jane) Weber of Houston, Texas; sister, Bernice Cantrell of Greeley; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Dorothy Paxton and Barbara Layton.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, at the Allnutt Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th St., Greeley. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, at Saint John’s United Church of Christ, 3815 W. 20th St., Greeley. Interment will be at Linn Grove Cemetery, 1700 Cedar Ave., Greeley.

So sorry to hear about Wayne. When we were at your family gatherings it was always nice to see him, although he was usually pretty quiet, every now and then he would have something funny to say. Hearing what he did with his family when you kids were younger, we knew he was a great father. He will be missed by many and will be in your thoughts forever. Take care
