Bernard L Thompson

Bernard L Thompson, age 85, went to be with the Lord on Friday September 6, 2019. Bernard was born April 27, 1934 in Greenwood Indiana to the late Virgil and Martha Horton Thompson. Bernard is survived by his wife, Vicky Thompson of the home. Also left to cherish Bernard's memory are many nieces and nephews. Bernard was predeceased by his mother and father, five brothers; Howard, Le Roy, Robert, Richard, Calvin and four sister; Francis, Rella, Nancy, and Judith. A visitation for Bernard will be held Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 115 Cedar Lane Rd., Greenville, SC 29601, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Entombment with military honors will follow the service in Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1901 Wade Hampton Blvd. Greenville SC 29609 In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Indiana Baptist College, 1301 West County Line Road, Greenwood, Indiana 46142. Bernard's passion in life was educating others and sharing the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ in simply and easy to understand ways. Bernard created and published the tract "Three Steps To Salvation".
