Lennard LeVine

Lennard LeVine, 68, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 23, 2019 after an 18-month struggle with cancer. Born August 8, 1950 to Jean and Andrew LeVine, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Lennard led his own unique life. Starting an organic garlic farm in Victoria Harbor, Nova Scotia which he continued to run throughout his illness, he was a pioneering force in the local organic community. Often seen cruising the roads between Halifax and Victoria Harbour in his white MGB, always ready to make friends with pockets full of garlic. Later in life Lennard began yearly trips to Cuba, where he built close friendships through the Jewish community in Havana.
Lennard is survived by his mother, Jean LeVine; sister, Sandra DellaVedova; his former wife Edna LeVine; and his children, Andrew, Shira, and Simon LeVine. He is predeceased by his father Andrew LeVine and his grandparents Joseph and Bessie Simon. Services will take place at Cruikshank Funeral Home on Windsor Street in Halifax, Monday, May 27th at 1pm.
