Gloria Fonseca Torres

Gloria Fonseca Torres, age 65, of Spring, Texas passed away on Thursday August 22, 2019. Gloria was born February 21, 1954. When Gloria walked into the room, those in her company felt energy, an enthusiastic spontaneity. This was just one example of who Gloria was and how she impacted those around her. She was a dynamic, self-expressive person who was forever looking to celebrate the endless possibilities life had to offer. She had a knack for being clever, creative and witty, and for others, was a joy to be around. While she was often fiercely independent, it seemed as if many others looked to her for inspiration, leadership, wisdom and even courage. Gloria was always more than willing to share life’s experiences with her loved ones. Gloria Fonseca Torres was preceded in death by her good friend and children's father, Joe Angel Torres Sr., her brother, Steve, her stepfather, Joe, her father, Louis, and her stepmother Simona. She is survived by her mother, Janie, her brothers, Cruz and Joe, her sisters, Louisa, Betty, Janie, and Chenchy, her two children, Joe Angel Torres Jr. and Tina Michelle Torres Cruz, her daughter-in-law, Julie, her son-in-law, Marvin, and her grandchildren, Joe III, Laura, Victor, Alondra, Abby, Justice, Nani, Alesia, Marisa, Mia, and Anthony. Gloria will be laid to rest in Forest Park Cemetery in Houston, Texas. A visitation for Gloria will be held Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 Broadway St, Houston, TX 77087. A rosary will occur Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 4136 Broadway St, Houston, TX 77087. A funeral service will occur Friday, August 30, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 4136 Broadway St, Houston, TX 77087. The Family invites everyone to join them in sharing memories of Gloria at a reception following the funeral service on Friday, August 30, 2019 at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo.
